I’m Amanda Ushedo, a Senior Business Analyst, strategist and founder with over 15 years’ experience working across technology, financial services and business transformation.
My work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution: understanding complex problems, identifying what needs to change and creating the structure required to move businesses, projects and ideas forward.
Today, I bring that experience into business transformation, strategic advisory, investment and entrepreneurship — working with organisations, founders and leaders navigating growth, change and opportunity.

For much of my career, I have worked between different worlds — business and technology, stakeholders and delivery teams, complexity and execution.
As a Business Analyst, that has meant translating business needs into solutions, improving processes, shaping products and helping organisations deliver change. As a founder and strategist, I apply the same discipline to broader questions around business growth, capital, investment and market opportunity.

My experience spans digital transformation, product development, financial services, insurance, regulatory processes and technology-enabled business change.
I work with founders, businesses and leadership teams to bring greater clarity and structure to growth decisions.
This can include business models, strategic priorities, positioning, operating challenges, new opportunities and translating ambitious ideas into practical plans.
Through Western Square Capital, I work at the intersection of African business opportunity and global capital.
Our focus is helping credible businesses and projects become better prepared for investment while developing stronger relationships between businesses, investors and markets.
I contribute to conversations around strategy, business transformation, investment, Africa, career development and entrepreneurship.
I am also building a portfolio of advisory, governance and board work where my experience across technology, business, investment and strategy can add value.
Experience
My career began in software development before evolving into business analysis, product and transformation work.
Over more than 15 years, I have worked within organisations including BPL Global, Worldpay and Institutional Investor, operating across technology, financial services, insurance and information services.
At BPL Global, where I spent nine years, my work included digital transformation, operational improvement, regulatory change and the development of technology products including BPL Sphere, the firm’s client portal.
Alongside my professional career, I completed an MSc in International Business and Harvard Business School Online’s Design Thinking and Innovation programme.
Today, that combination of analytical, commercial and entrepreneurial experience shapes the way I approach business problems.
